JABBERCAST 101

The JABBERCAST is a live show. It's also a podcast. A good music player for podcasts is the iTunes music player from Apple's website. It's free for Mac & PC. And yes, it's free to subscribe to The JABBERCAST. And, by subscribing, new shows will download automatically to iTunes every week and also to your iPod when you sync it. What? No iPod? Holy old school! Hahahahaha...... Anyways, for the rest of you, you can subscribe or listen from your web browser or even download the mp3's so you can put them on whatever cheapo, low budget mp3 player you own, or on a cd for your father's beat up, old, broken down Buick LeSabre that probably only has a cassette player that doesn't work anyway. See the link to our RSS feed to the right.

Enough JABBERing about the podcast, we're live Sundays, 11AM EST on WKBR. Go to the WKBR website, click on the LISTEN link and choose your player. Remember, we are ONLY live at show time.

So, let's get down to business. The JABBERCAST is the talk show about anything and everything. You name it, we'll cover it. Whether you've enjoyed listening to our other shows or you are a new listener, we think you will get a kick out of us "jabbering" about topics from the awesome candy we ate as kids, public restrooms and household chores we can't stand doing to sibling rivalry, perfect breakfasts and how pastime activities have changed over the years.

We always keep a schedule of our upcoming shows (below), so you can contact with your own story or topic input. How do you do that? Email us (text or audio) or leave us a recorded message from our voicemail widget. Our contact info is below. We will play your recorded message in the show!

Meet BigJD & Lippo, hosts of The JABBERCAST. They also produce the EZ Mac Podcast. Neither are strangers to podcasting or audio recording & editing. BigJD was in the hard rock / heavy metal band Wicked Angel for over a decade and Lippo is still rockin' in the local group King Friday. Aside from teaching Music Making & Podcasting together at the local college, Lippo hosts 2 other podcasts and BigJD hosts The Big30. July 5th: Summer Fun. We want you to get the most out of your summer. We discuss all the fun things you can do during the nice weather and your summer vacation.

July 12th: Aging. What's it like to get old. We're all on our way. What is your experience with the elderly? Can you wait for all those seniors discounts?

July 19th: Live Entertainment. Live music, live plays, reenactments, ball games wrAstlin', NASCAR & more.

July 26th: The Public Library. What does your local public library offer? Lots! We discuss it on the show this week.

August 2nd: Awards & Prizes. Have you wan any awards? What for? Track & field, other sports? Trophies? Ribbons? How about a prize for an accomplishment. Awards & prizes are fun to win. Many come from hard work and dedication. Another fun show on The JABBERCAST ;-)

August 9th: Raw Foods. What does it mean to 'raw foods"? What exactly is a "raw foods' diet? We'll learn ya on the show today. You won't want to miss this one. It's all about your health.

August 16th: Skills. Do you have one? Do you want one? Where would you get one? What is a skill anyhow? Can you have more than one? How do skills differ from technique? All these question, AND MORE, answered this week.

August 23rd: Home. They say home is where you make it, or home is where your bed is... What do you call home? Is it where you are now? Do you consider the place you lived the longest home? What about moving to a new country? Which one is then your real home? Sometimes you feel more at home someplace else... Our home is uStream, Sundays @ 11AM :-)

When sending us audio by email to include in the show please send mp3 format and try to limit your audio files to about 1MB. Consider 48-64kbps mono recordings. This should allow you ample length of audio while keeping file size to a minimum.

We encourage our listeners to send emails or audio with topics they would like to hear on the show or stories related to a particular week's show. We can read your story and have some discussion or talk with you live via chat.
