JABBERCAST 101
Although The JABBERCAST is live on Sundays, it's also a podcast. A good music player for podcasts is iTunes, available free from Apple's website for Mac & PC. And yes, it's free to subscribe to The JABBERCAST. By subscribing, new shows will download automatically to iTunes every week and also to your iPod when you sync it. What? No iPod? Holy old school! Hahahahaha...... Anyways, for the rest of you, you can subscribe or listen from your web browser or even download the mp3's so you can put them on whatever cheapo, low budget mp3 player you own, or on a cd for your father's beat up, old, broken down Buick LeSabre that probably only has a cassette player that doesn't work anyway. Listening Options
Enough JABBERing about the podcast, we're live Sundays, 11AM EST. Listen from the player (above right). Or copy this address: http://thejabbercast.youstream.fm and ad it to your computer's music player as an audio stream. For example, in iTunes, go to the advanced menu, choose open audio stream, and paste in the address. Then our live stream will play in iTunes. Don't have iTunes? Get it HERE free, for Mac & PC. It's the BEST player! But you can use other music players. And remember, we are ONLY live at show time. If we are not on right at 11AM, hang tight, we will be on shortly ;-) Just try PLAYING the stream again. It will connect when we have started the show :-)
So, let's get down to business. The JABBERCAST is the talk show about anything and everything. You name it, we'll cover it. Whether you've enjoyed listening to our other shows or you are a new listener, we think you will get a kick out of us "jabbering" about topics from the awesome candy we ate as kids, public restrooms and household chores we can't stand doing to sibling rivalry, perfect breakfasts and how pastime activities have changed over the years.

Meet BigJD & Lippo, hosts of The JABBERCAST. They also produce the EZ Mac Podcast. Neither are strangers to podcasting or audio recording & editing. BigJD was in the hard rock / heavy metal band Wicked Angel for over a decade and Lippo is still rockin' in the local group King Friday. Aside from teaching Music Making & Podcasting together at the local college, Lippo hosts 2 other podcasts and BigJD hosts The Big30. September 19th: Hiatus Show - In Stereo. Our last show for a while. A free for all. Not sure what we will talk about. Reminisce. Cry a little, LOL. We must take a break from The JABBERCAST. We will go on hiatus after THIS SHOW and hopefully pick things up next season (Spring) right where we left off :-) We were thinking about restarting during the 2012 Solstice, but no doubt it will be in 2011 ;-) With schedules so busy and conflicting, we need to step away for a bit. Thanx to our subscribers and listeners! We will continue to produce the EZMac Podcast monthly with Jeff and Mike, so visit www.ezmacpodcast.com. And BigJD is moving to terrestrial radio - 99.1 FM - CJAM - Windsor / Detroit. You will catch his uTalkin2Me show there, possibly Mondays at 4;30 pm. The date and show time is not quite set in stone as of yet. We will post the message here when we know, but you can visit uTalkin2Me.ca for more details on that. When sending us audio by email to include in the show please send mp3 format and try to limit your audio files to about 1MB. Consider 48-64kbps mono recordings. This should allow you ample length of audio while keeping file size to a minimum. If it is easier, record with your web cam. Video is okay, we will take the audio from it and just use that. For some folks it may be easier to record a video clip.
We encourage our listeners to send emails, text or audio, with topics they would like to hear on the show or stories related to a particular week's show. We can read your story and have some discussion or play your audio.
